How to Tie a Scarf Easily

Tying a few loops can make a scarf secure and fashionable.

Scarves are fashion accessories used to decorate and warm the neck area, but they can be a challenge to tie for those who do not usually wear them. Many scarf-tying methods exist in the fashion world, but some are more involved than others. For those who want to spend minimal time putting on a scarf, there is a tying technique that takes only seconds.

Instructions

1. Fold the scarf in half longways. You can do this by finding the middle point of the scarf and draping it over your finger. When looking at the folded scarf, one end will have a fold and the other side will have the two ends.

2. Hang the scarf over your head so the folded loop hangs over one side of your chest and the two ends hang on the other side.

3. Send the top-most scarf tip directly through the loop and pull it through. Bring the other tip over the loop and feed it through in the opposite direction. Adjust the two tips so they are even and comfortable.

4. Wear the scarf with both ends in the front or to either side.
