Things You'll Need:
- Hand Needle
- Contrasting basting thread
- Matching machine thread
- Scissors
- Seam ripper maybe
-
Step 1
Using your needle, push and slide the fabric back between the back and front of the edge so that the fabric is once again totally enclosed. Hand baste as you go with medium long stitches from right to left if right handed. Reverse the direction if you are left handed. Baste close to the old stitch line so that you catch all layers in the basting line.
-
Step 2
Stitch on your machine along the original seam line using the same length stitches. You will be able to see the holes left by the old stitches along the edge. Try not to leave any old stitch line visible on the fabric. If you can see any, you need to place the fabric higher between the sandwich layer.

Step 3
Trim threads and remove basting thread. You are done! Isn't it great to save money on clothes?
