1
Take your old towel and lay it out on a hard surface. Place the glass or clay piece that you are going to crush face down, and then fold the towel over it. Smash it with a hammer until the pieces are about an inch in diameter.
-
2
Spray your pot with a sealer. If you are not using a cement based grout it is important to seal your pot first because it will get wet and potentially it can fall apart. Let dry.

-
3
Glue your broken pieces onto your clay pot. Be abstract or create specific designs.
-
4
Spread your grout over your pot, filling in all cracks and covering the pieces completely. You don't want to be able to see any of the pot.
-
5
Use a wet cloth and wipe the grout off of the pieces. If you see any spots of your pot, reapply your grout.

6
Let dry.

Use old CDs for mosaic pieces.
Don't put the pieces too close together or grout can't get in the cracks.
