How to Make a Booklet in Microsoft Office Word 2003
Microsoft Word 2003 can be used to create booklets for school projects, information sessions or to create books for fun. It is fairly simple to adjust the settings for the document in Microsoft Word, so that it is in booklet format. Once the settings have been adjusted, you can design your booklet the same way you would edit any other document. Microsoft Word will automatically put the pages in booklet format. Printing the booklet is relatively easy as well with a couple of setting adjustments.

1
Open a new document in Microsoft Word. Go to the "File" menu and select "Page Setup."
-
2
Click on the "Margins" tab. Go to the "Pages" section and select "Book fold" from the drop down menu next to "Multiple pages."
-
-
3
Select the number of sheets you would like to have per booklet from the drop down menu next to "Sheets per booklet." Alternatively, you can leave this field selected as "All" so that all of the sheets in your document will be included in the booklet. Click OK.
-
4
Begin designing your booklet by typing text and adding pictures. You can save the booklet or print it. Two pages will be printed on one side of the paper, so that when you fold the paper, it will open up as a booklet.
-
5
Set your print options to print on both sides of the paper. If you have a duplex printer that automatically prints on both sides, go to the "File" menu and select "Print." Click on the "Properties" button and set the options you would like. If you don't have a duplex printer, select "Manual duplex" in the "Print" dialog. All of the pages will print on one side of the paper, and then you will be prompted to turn the stack of papers over and put them through the printer again so that the remaining sections will be printed on the other side.
