How to Make Felt Flowers

Felt flowers can be used to decorate anything from Easter baskets to curtains to tote bags. These easy felt flowers are simple enough that they are a great project for adults and children to work on together, and they look fabulous.

Things You'll Need

• Assorted felt
• Assorted rhinestones (any size)
• Embroidery floss (any color)
• Needle
• Tacky glue
• Scissors

Instructions

1. Cut out the shape of the flowers from the felt using the scissors. Try experimenting with different shapes and sizes for variety.

2. Stitch the detail on the petals using the embroidery floss. Use the backstitch for this.

3. Glue the rhinestones to the center of the flower. Only apply a small drop of glue, a little will go a long way.

4. Set the flowers out to dry for at least two hours before handling.
