Instructions

    • 1

Turn the MP3 player face down and set it on a soft towel or other non-abrasive surface to prevent scratching and damage.

    • 2

Remove the two rubber plugs on the back cover to reveal two screws.

    • 3

Remove the screws using a Phillips-head screwdriver, and lift off the back cover.

    • 4

Detach the battery pack by unplugging the two-pin connector attaching the battery pack to the motherboard of the MP3 player. Take this battery to an electronics store so they can help you find the correct replacement, or order the replacement battery online (see Resources for link).

    • 5

Plug in the new battery pack in the same direction as the old plug was attached.

    • 6

Replace the back cover with the two screws and re-insert the rubber plugs.

    • 7

Charge the new battery via the USB port at the bottom of the MP3 player.

Tips & Warnings

  • Don't overcharge the battery, as this shortens battery life. When the LED indicator flashes that the battery is fully charged, disconnect the USB charging cable as soon as possible.
