Things You'll Need:
- 1/2-inch Fresh Ginger Root
- 1 cup water
- Small boiler or saucepan
- Honey (to taste)

Step 1
Peel ginger root by scraping it with a spoon or using a potato peeler.

Thinly slice the ginger root. You will need about 6 slices per cup of tea.

Slightly crush the ginger root with the back of the spoon to release the flavor.

Place ginger root and 1 cup of water in a boiler.

Cook on high until the tea begins to boil. Lower the heat and simmer for 5 to 10 minutes, depending on how strong you want it to be.

Before serving, pour the tea through a strainer to remove the ginger root.

Add honey to taste.
