How to Make Christmas Tree Skirts
A Christmas tree skirt serves multiple purposes. First, it's an excellent way to decorate and liven up your tree. Second, if you have a live pine tree, then the skirt catches all those little pine nettles that make their way to the ground so easily. Finally, a Christmas tree skirt hides any unsightly cords from decorative lights. Does this Spark an idea?
Things You'll Need
- Round tablecloth 54 inches in diameter (or purchase 2 yards of fabric)
- Yardstick or ruler

1
If you purchased fabric from a store, cut it into a circle, and hem the edges.
-
2
Locate the center of your circle with a yardstick or rule. Mark it with a pin or marker.
-
-
3
Cut a straight line from any outer point of your fabric to the center. This cut will allow you to wrap the skirt around your Christmas tree without lifting the tree.
-
4
Decorate your tree skirt. You can match it to your home, do a festive Christmas style or leave it plain. If you have a patterned fabric, you probably don't have to add much to the skirt. For plain fabrics, consider iron-on decorations, fabric glue, acrylic paint or a decorative fringe trim.

Well done, a picture close-up of the skirt would be nice. 5*
