People have been waxing their bodies since ancient times in Egypt and Greece. Today's woman is more likely to pay someone else to do her waxing in a salon, but the recipe and techniques are simple enough to try at home. Hair can be removed from the legs, underarms, bikini area or anywhere else you desire to have smooth, hairless skin.

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Equal parts honey and sugar (approximately 1 cup of each)
  • Freshly squeezed juice from 1/2 lemon
  • Pan
  • Wooden spoon
  • Cloth strips (cotton)
  1. Step 1

Put the sugar in the pan and caramelize it on the stove with medium high heat.

  2. Step 2

Stir the sugar until it bubbles and turns to a golden color.

  3. Step 3

Add the honey and lemon juice and continue stirring.

  4. Step 4

After everything is melted, pour it onto a clean towel (cotton).

  5. Step 5

Knead it until it turns light golden yellow.

Tips & Warnings
  • To keep the wax melted, place the wax in a small bowl that you place in a larger bowl filled with hot water.
  • The wax can be quite hot. Test it on a small spot before attempting to wax larger areas.
