How to submit an article from Google Reader to Twitter

You use Google Reader to consume different sources of news and articles, and you want to share something interesting with your Twitter followers.

Difficulty: Easy

Instructions

Step 1

Open your Google Reader account.
Step 2

Go to the Settings page and click on the tab named "Send To".
Step 3

In the displayed list, make sure the Twitter checkbox is selected.
Step 4

Return to your Google Reader article list and open the content you want to share.
Step 5

On the bar below the post you will see a button named "Send To".
Step 6

Click on this "Send To" button and a floating menu will be displayed below it.
Step 7

Click on the option named "Twitter". A new popup page will be opened with your Twitter page (read the tips to see how to get this page ready to post your update).
Step 8

The Twitter post will be ready to be sent. The article's title, and shortened URL will be automatically created by Google Reader. You will only have to press the Twitter's update button.

Tips & Warnings

If you want to speed up the process, make sure you are logged in on your Twitter account.
Make Twitter remember your password so you don't have to login every time you want to post something.
