Cooking a whole lamb is challending but really rewarding.

Things You'll Need:

  • whole buchered lamb
  • potatoes
  • plenty of garlic
  • carrots
  • onions
  • sea salt
  • parchment paper and plenty of news paper
  • earth pit and plenty of firewood
  • chicken wire
  1. Step 1

    First you need to prepare an earth pit about a foot deep and big enough to fit the lamb in the pit with a foot all around. Make a fire and keep burning wood until the pit if half full of hot coal.

  2. Step 2

    Place the lamb on parchment paper. Take the lamb and rub it with sea salt by hand. Punch cuts into the meat with a knife and push whole garlic gloves into the wholes.Place the vegetables around the meat. Warp parchment paper around the meat.

  3. Step 3

    Wrap prachment covered meat in wet news papers. Apply numerous layers. Wrap in chicken wire netting and make sure it package is tight. You can tie the package togetrher with metal wire.

  4. Step 4

    Place package in hot coals covering the package. Cover pit with earth and leave for twelve hours.

    Uncover the package and unwrap the fiest.
