How to Exercise the safe way during pregnancy

Exercising while pregnant is extremely beneficial for you. It will help you control your weight can, feel good about yourself and make it easier for you while delivering your baby. Be sure to understand the dos and don’ts of exercising while pregnant.

Things You'll Need:

  • Water
  • Sports Bra
  1. Step 1

    Warm up by stretching for at least five minutes before you start any exercise.

  2. Step 2

    Wear a sports bra while doing any exercises to support your breasts.

  3. Step 3

    Walking, swimming and yoga are all excellent ways to keep in shape. Light biking is also a good exercise to do.

  4. Step 4

    Avoid lifting heavy weights, contact sports, horseback riding and skiing during your pregnancy.

  5. Step 5

    Drink water before, during and after your exercises. You should be thoroughly hydrated for a healthy pregnancy.

  6. Step 6

    Strengthen your birthing muscles by squeezing and releasing as if you are urinating. You should be doing 20 reps 5 times a day.

  7. Step 7

    Tone your abs by doing crunches as a strong tummy will be easier for delivery. Do not do any exercises that require you to lay on your back after the 1st trimester.

Tips & Warnings
  • Do not overdo it. If you feel out of breath or dizzy feel free to take a break and continue at a later time.
