How to Create a Search Toolbar
Search toolbars let you customize your searching preferences on a website browser so you can quickly link to information you're seeking. The toolbar becomes part of your Internet browser's toolbar. Read on to learn how you can find an online generator that will let you create a custom search toolbar for your browser.

Conduct an online search for custom toolbars or log on to conduit.com, where you'll be able to customize the application and install additional gadgets.

Click on "Get Started Now." You'll be routed to a forms page, where you can add your search toolbar preferences.

Complete the form by adding your name, email address, password, business website address (optional), category and language preferences.

Read the terms and conditions and accept them before proceeding. Enter the verification code (not case-sensitive) and click on the "Create My Toolbar" button.

Select "Start" to add components to your search toolbar, such as a logo, link button, menu button and news ticker. Click "Add" beside the option you'd like to add. A second page will come up for the component, where you can specify your options for that application. Click on "Save" to accept the changes or "Cancel" to leave it unchanged.

Click "Add" to include other preferences you'd like to use from the "games and media," "searching," "localization," "advanced options," "popular" (includes radio player, weather, email notifier and pop-up blocker) or "social" (includes Twitter Reader and Chat) categories.

Select "Install Toolbar" under the "Toolbar" tab to download it onto your computer to begin using it.
