Naruto is a character that is full of emotion. The character of Naruto is a young ninja in training who stars in his own Anime and Manga series. Naruto is an orphan who has a powerful demon trapped inside of him. He is also constantly picked on and underestimated. Naruto is often in a state of anger when confronting enemies who have wronged him or his friends. Learning to draw Naruto in this state is important for any Manga or Anime fan. These techniques can be used to create an angry look on other Manga and Anime characters.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Paper
  • Pencil
  • Black ink pen
  • Kneaded eraser
  • Art markers
  1. Step 1

Create a skeletal frame for your character. Draw only the upper body for the frame. This will allow you to focus on the emotion of Naruto in greater detail. Draw an oval for the head. Attach a "V" shape to the bottom of the oval for the chin. Create the neck with a vertical line. Add the chest with a rectangular shape.

  2. Step 2

Thicken the frame by drawing over the guidelines. Add two parallel vertical lines on the left and right sides of the neck guideline. Draw a cross shape over the face for facial guidelines.

  3. Step 3

Add a headband with two slightly curved horizontal lines across the top of the head. Draw a small rectangle in the center of the headband. Create the hair with small, triangular spikes around the top of the head. Draw the collar on Naruto with a curved line across the top of the neck. Make this line rise up and down slightly to create a ribbed texture on the collar.

  4. Step 4

Draw the details on the face. Add the eyes with two ovals on the horizontal line of the facial guideline. Create the pupils with a semicircle inside each eye. Add the eyebrows with two diagonal lines above the eyes. Create the nose with a "V" shape on the vertical line of the facial cross. Add the mouth with two curved horizontal lines below the nose. Draw fangs with two small cones on the left and right sides of Naruto's mouth. Add Naruto's scars with three diagonal lines on each cheek.

  5. Step 5

Add a scowl with short diagonal lines to the left and right of the nose. Ink all of the lines you wish to keep. Let the ink dry and carefully erase the pencil lines. Color the illustration with art markers. Use beige for the skin, yellow for the hair and orange for the shirt. Color the eyes blue and leave the collar white.

Tips & Warnings
  • The trick to making Naruto angry is in his scowl. You can deepen the lines around his nose and make his eyebrows go further down to heighten this effect.
  • Be sure to let the ink dry completely before erasing or you will smudge your illustration.
