I know how hard it is to get your stubborn toddler off to bed. I have been there and it does take time to do it. So be ready for a few weeks of crying during the night!

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Crib
  • Patience!!!!!
  1. Step 1

If your toddler is sleeping in the bed with you that needs to change! Do you really want your 10 or 14 year old still in your bed? I don't think so!! A crib comes in handy and if they have they're own bed that is even better!

  2. Step 2

Crying it out! I know nobody wants to do it but you have to let them cry it out for them to fall asleep. Now if they cry for like an hour straight you could go in and check on them. Do not take them out though unless there is something wrong.

  3. Step 3

Now if they are getting out and running into your room then try sitting in the room for awhile. Put them back in the bed without a word and just wait it out until they are asleep!

Tips & Warnings
  • It does require more than once to have them sleep through the night but it is nice once they are!
  • If you think there is something else going on with your child then please go see a doctor right away!
