Things You'll Need:
- Awareness of the body
-
Step 1
Breathe deeplyTake time throughtout the day to pay attention to the way you breathe. When you think of it, stop for a moment a make a concentrated effort to breathe deeply.
-
Step 2
Keep the mouth closedTo inhale for the most health benefits, close the mouth and take the largest deep breath possible through the nose to completely fill the lungs counting to at least 5 or 6 if possible. Breathing through the nose allows the air to be filtered through the sinuses, whereas the mouth has no such filter.
-
Step 3
The chest should riseThe chest cavity should lift as you fill it with air from the very large deep breath raising the entire chest area. This will allow the oxygen to entirely fill the lungs and then expand throughout the bloodstream to get to all of the organs.
-
Step 4
exhale using pursed lipsTo exhale, use pursed lips to release the air. Open the mouth as though you're blowing out a candle and exhale fully to release all the air.
-
Step 5
Repeat 10 timesRepeat these steps for at least 10 deep breaths each time you think of it so that the body can get as much oxygen as possible to keep all the organs as healthy as possible as well as to reduce stress, headaches or pain, increase energy, improve digestion, sleep, nausea, hangovers and improve symptoms of fibromyalgia.
