Step 1
WINDOWS
1. Click Start
2. Click Run (On vista just type into the search box at the bottom)
3. Type CMD which opens a command prompt window
4. Type ipconfig /all
5. "IP Address" shows the current IP address for that particular network adapter. -
Step 2
MAC
1. Click on the Apple Menu
2. Click System Preferences
3. Click Network
4. Click Built-In Ethernet or Airport
5. Click the TCP/IP tab -

INTERNET (external IP)
Follow the link provided below to automatically find your external IP address. -

The IP address (Internet Protocol)is a logical address assigned to devices participating in a computer network like your home network or the internet.
Anything that connects to your home network (LAN) has one; Computers, Printers etc. And so does the device that connects to the internet (Cable Modem, DSL Modem, Clearwire Modem etc.)
