Make a mistake when signing a greeting card? Need to change a name inside a text book? Mispelled a person's name in a letter, or wrote the wrong numbers in the address on the envelope? Here is what you can do!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Sodium Hypochlorite Commonly known as household bleach
  • Cotton swabs
  1. Step 1

Pour a small amount of the chlorine bleach in a small container. I sometimes use the cap off the bottle. You can use a small glass bowl if you prefer, YOU ONLY NEED A SMALL AMOUNT!

  2. Step 2

Dip a cotton swab in the bleach. Apply a generous amount to the written area. Follow the ink marks lightly. Be careful not to spill or splash the bleach. IT REMOVES COLOR FROM OTHER THINGS,TOO!

  3. Step 3

Wait for the bleach to dry, reapply if necessary. Be patient, it lightens more as it dries. Keep the pages seperate if applying in a book. If you are only applying to sheets of paper place an old cloth under it.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you are using the bleach on white paper it will become almost invisible.
  • Be careful on colored paper, test it in an inconspicuous area first.
  • It may bleach the color out too much to look as good, but the ink will still disappear
  • There is no need to scrub, only dab, the bleach does the work.
  • Work in a well ventilated area away from children or pets.
  • If splashed on clothing, carpet, etc. it will take color out.
  • Be careful not to get it on your skin, or let it splash in your eyes.
  • Let thearea that was treated completely dry before writing on it.
