Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • about 2 lbs chicken wings
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 c. of a good quality cooking oil
  • 1/2 inch fresh ginger minced
  • 1-2 gloves mashed or minced garlic
  • 2 tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1 thinly sliced green onion - optional
  1. Step 1

Rinse wings and pat dry or place in a colander and let drain and dry. Set aside.

  2. Step 2

Make a sauce by mixing soy sauce, oil, ginger, brown sugar and green onions in a large bowl or plastic zip-lock bag.

  3. Step 3

Place chicken wings in bowl or bag with sauce. If using bowl, toss wings with hands to distribute the sauce evenly over the wings, and cover. If using zip-lock bag, simply place wings in bag with sauce, remove as much air as possible, zip bag closed, then
shake and work sauce to cover wings well.

  4. Step 4

Refrigerate for at least 20 minutes or even overnight. Remove wing from refrigerator and place on shallow baking pan(s). Remove pieces of green onion if used. Let wings sit while you preheat the oven to 425 degrees. Bake 15-30 minutes or until cooked through and browned.
These may also be cooked on the grill over medium heat about 20 minutes.
