Step 1
Use a 4” x 4” ceramic tile. The tile can be a leftover from a home project or buy the least expensive available at your home improvement store. The type that do not have a straight even edge look the nicest. You can either buy them like this or use tile nippers to make a jagged, but not sharp edge.
-
Step 2
Place your tile on felt and trace the shape of your tile onto the felt. Cut the felt to fit the pattern you drew. On the back (rough side) of the tile glue the felt on and allow it to dry completely.
-
Step 3
Place the tile on top of a holiday card or picture, trace the shape of the tile, cut out the pattern and glue it to the top (shiny side) of your tile. Cut inside the line of your pattern so the picture is slightly smaller than your tile. Allow it to dry.
-
Step 4
Paint a decoupage medium such as Mod Podge which is available at a craft store, over the picture. Use a sponge brush for the best results. Allow to dry in between coats.
