      First, dissolve the sodium acetate into a boiling pot of water stirring continuously until the entire amount has dissolved. Depending on how much sodium acetate you use, you should have double the amount of water.

      Pour the mixture into a glass when it is cool enough so the glass doesn't crack.

      Place the glass into the fridge until it is cold. The temperature of the glass should be about as cold as the milk or juice that is in your fridge. This usually takes about an hour to cool down.

      Pour the mixture into any type of tray and touch the mixture with your finger. This will cause the liquid to instantly turn into ice. This means it will no longer be a liquid. It has turned into a solid and looks exactly like ice. You have just made hot ice!
