Things You'll Need:
- egg shells
- banana peals
- used coffee grounds
-
Step 1
Save some egg shells, banana peals, and used coffee grounds. You can also get used coffee grounds from Starbucks if you don't drink coffee.
You can do this by hand or use a blender if you wish. If using blender, you may want to add a little water. -
Step 2
Crush egg shells in a bowl. Eggshells are a good source of calcium. I love it when it's Easter time and the egg shells are very colorful.
-
Step 3
Cut up banana peals into tiny pieces. At least to where the pieces are about an eighth of an inch wide and a quarter of an inch long. Discard the hard parts like the top and bottom. It's the banana peals that keep those pesky aphids away.
-
Step 4
Add used coffee grounds and mix all ingredients well. If using blender, puree of liquify. Do not use coffee grounds more than 1-2 times per season because it can mess up the PH of the soil.
-
Step 5
Pour mixture or spoon onto the ground around the bush on top of where the roots are. You can also just add mixture to mulch.
-
Step 6
Pour water on top so that the mixture seeps into the ground where the roots can soak it up.

Thanks for posting, and keep up the good work.
