Every bathroom should have a bottle of white vinegar. There are many uses for vinegar throughout the household but in the bathroom there are so many tasks that vinegar is suited for that it will probably be used daily.

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Vinegar is excellent for glass! That fogged mirror that dries with spots on it, can be made sparkling clean with just one squirt of vinegar and a micro fiber towel. This includes shower doors and bath tubs that have soap scum built up on them as well. Vinegar is a wonderful cleaning product for nearly all bathroom surfaces.

  2. Step 2

Fixtures will shine and look like new when wiped down with vinegar. Everything from metal towel racks to faucets and handles can use a touch of vinegar.

  3. Step 3

Sunburn, dry skin, dry scalp and even insect bites can be helped by adding a cup of vinegar to your bath or using it as a rinse in the shower.

  4. Step 4

Clogged or smelly drains benefit from a mixture of hot water, vinegar and baking soda. When baking soda and vinegar mix they bubble and fizz which will clean your drains very well.

  5. Step 5

Many people don't think of vinegar as an air freshener, due to it's strong scent, but placing a cup of vinegar in the bathroom will neutralize odors and leave the room smelling fresh. The strong vinegar smell doesn't linger like other smells do.
