Next, you need to register for an online account. Click "Join Now," which is under the dark blue line at the top of the page. This takes you to the registration page, where you will enter your name, email address, user name, password and password hint.

The next page lists open jobs, allows you to set up your account to receive email alerts when jobs become available. Click on the job you want. Entering your resume is the next step. You can select a resume from your documents to upload, cut and paste a text resume from your files or use Southwest Airlines' resume wizard to create one.

After you enter your resume, the site will ask for personal information, including your address, home, cell and work phone numbers and how you heard about the job. Fill in the information and go to the next page, which asks Equal Employment Opportunity questions, which are your gender and whether you are Hispanic or Latino. You do not have to answer these questions if you don't want to.

    • 5

The next page asks if you have a high school diploma or equivalent, whether you are at least 18 years old, and if you are authorized to work in the United States by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986. The next questions are whether you are able to read, write and understand English, and other questions related to being a flight attendant. Finally, answer yes to the questions about receiving communication about the job through email and whether you have answered all questions truthfully.

The last step is to review your application on the next screen and submit it. You will receive a confirmation email that Southwest Airlines received your application. If you are accepted, the company will contact you for an in-person interview.
