How to Create Cell Phone Skins

Skins are one popular way to personalize electronic devices. Skinit.com takes skins to another level by letting you design your own custom covering for your cell phone. Things You'll Need

• Internet access
• Original digital photographs or artwork

Instructions

1. Go to the Skinit website. On the home page, choose "Phones" from the "Devices" drop-down box.

2. Select your cell phone carrier from the list of manufacturers, then choose your model. On the next screen, click on "Create Your Own".

3. Use the Skinit interface to add text, images or shapes to the template design shown on the screen. Adjust your image's appearance using the sliders on the left.

4. Place additional objects or text to create your skin's back and sides.

5. Click the "Preview" button to see your design. If you're ready to purchase it, add it to your shopping cart and check out. Or, click "Customize It" to continue editing your skin.

• Be sure to use rights-cleared images for your skins. Using copyrighted photographs or artwork without permission is against the law.
