How to Track Internet History

Tracking the Internet browsing history on your computer can be a handy tool for finding when and where you saw certain information on the Web, or for making sure your children aren't visiting inappropriate websites. Internet Explorer is the most popular Web browser for Windows operating systems, and it allows you to obtain detailed information about the browsing history.

      Open the Internet Explorer Web browser.

      Press the button "F4" on the keyboard to access the browser history.

      Scroll down the list to track down websites in the browser history.

      Click the menu "Tools" and "Internet Options."

      Click "Settings" under "Browsing history." Then click the button "View files" to open the Internet Explorer temporary file folder.

      Click on the column "Internet Address" and scroll down the list to see which domains within a particular website have been navigated. The column "Last Accessed" provides date and time when the particular domain has been accessed the last time.
