How to Make a Floozie Koozie
Floozie koozies are beer koozies (foam drink coolers) that have been decorated and personalized in an over-the-top, sparkly style. They are particularly popular at football games, bachelorette parties and girls' nights out. You can make them as part of your "pregame" preparations, or you can make them in advance and hand them out as favors.

1
Measure your feather boa trim. Floozie koozies are easily identifiable by their feather boa trim, usually in a bright color, like neon pink or lemon yellow. Your feather boa should be a color that goes with the occasion, so if you are making a team spirit floozie koozie you will need the right boa hue (for example, red or black for the University of Georgia Bulldogs). Wrap a segment of boa around your koozie and trim it when it meets. Do this twice so you can decorate at the top and bottom. Once you have your boa trimmed, set it to the side.

Decorate your koozie. Leave at least 11/2 inches on the top and bottom for your boa. Anything you write or glue in this area will be covered up. Use a glitter pen to write your name or a slogan. Further enhance the look with rhinestones or large sequins. Use the hot glue gun to stick them on, but go easy on the glue so none squishes out from behind the sequins.

Glue on the feather boas. Draw a thin line of hot glue around the top edge of the koozie. Then press the boa segment into place. Do the same at the bottom edge. Be careful. The hot glue can squirt through the feathers, if you are not careful, and burn your fingers. Hold the boas in place for about 15 seconds. You are ready to pop a beer into the koozie jacket and start enjoying your floozie koozie.
