Instructions

    • 1

Research the area you'll be hunting. It's important to know which animals dwell in which areas so that you can use the Cass Creek predator call more effectively. After all, predators are only attracted to the animals that they prey on and will ignore other sounds. Note that the wrong sounds can even scare game away.

    • 2

Turn your volume up so that it is about three-quarters as high as it can go. This creates a sound that is loud enough for distant animals to hear.

    • 3

Select the type of animal call you want to utilize. Press the appropriate button (it will be marked) and hold it for five seconds.

    • 4

Wait for two to three minutes to see if a predator comes along. If one doesn't, repeat the last step and wait again. Continue this process until a predator finds its way to the sound.

    • 5

Reduce the volume once you spot a predator. It should be at one-quarter to half as loud as it can be. Also, reduce the amount of time you hold the call button so that you only play the sound for two to three seconds. The lower volume will make the predator think the animal has wandered off and it will go after it.

    • 6

Space the calls out by one to two minutes. Keep making the calls until the predator is within shooting range.
