Choose an old piece of solid wood furniture that you would like to refinish. Bring it into your workspace, I like to use the garage. Remove any hardware. Place furniture onto a drop cloth or newspaper to protect your floor, if desired.

  2. Step 2
Save time with an electric sander!

Sanding. Using your #120 grit sandpaper, either by hand or with an electric sander, sand furniture in the direction of the wood grain. Once natural wood is exposed and all glossiness is gone, wipe down furniture with paper towel until dust is removed.

  3. Step 3
    Time 2 prime!

  6. Step 6
