Things You'll Need:

  • voter's registration form
  1. Step 1

    First you need to either go to your local library, post office, township building, state liquor store, or you can simply go online and print out a registration form at www.rockthevote.com.

  2. Step 2

    Question 1: Simply check off if you are a US citizen and if you will be 18 years of age on or before election day.

  3. Step 3

    Question 2: Check off if it is a new registration, change of name, change of address

  4. Step 4

    Question 3: Fill out your Name: last, first, middle initial, also put your driver's license number or last 4 digits of your social security number

  5. Step 5

    Question 4: Fill out your residence, note you cannot registration from a business address. Also fill out your phone number (optional), your municipality where you live (you can leave this blank if unknown), county where you reside.

  6. Step 6

    Question 5: Fill out your mailing address if different than your residence)

  7. Step 7

    Question 6: Your date of birth

  8. Step 8

    Question 7: Fill out your race, this question is optional

  9. Step 9

    Question 8: Your name on your previous registration. This is helpful if you got married, than they can link your new name with your maiden name. Also, your address of previous registration. This is helpful if you are transferring over from another county then they can link you to your new address.

  10. Step 10

    Question 9: Check which party in which you wish to register

  11. Step 11

    Question 10: The name and signature of the person who helped you fill out your registration form, if nobody helped you than leave blank.

  12. Step 12

    Question 11: Sign and print your name and put the date

  13. Step 13

    Question 12: Print your voter's registration number if known

  14. Step 14

    Then, check the box if you are in need of assistance when you vote, and specify the reason. This could include things like: wheel chair, deaf, unable to read, unable to understand English, etc.

  15. Step 15

    Finally, mail your registration form to your local voter's registration office.
