For two to three weeks out of the month, you feel fine. But boy oh boy those other time are a real pain. Menstrual(period) cramps can be very painful. Sometimes bring a complete stop to your life. There are ways to help keep menstrual/period cramps under control. Here you will find a few way to help you deal with your menstrual/period cramps.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Ibuprofen: Take one 200mg tablet twice a day. Start this about 3-4 BEFORE your period starts.

  2. Step 2

    Heating pad: Hold a heating pad to the cramped area. Or, even though it sounds Strange, sit on the heating pad. Be careful not to set the heating pad to high or fall asleep with the heating pad on.

  3. Step 3

    Avoid caffeine: Cut back, or better yet cut out caffeine all together about 4 days before your period. And don't forget the hidden caffeine in chocolate and energy drinks.

  4. Step 4

    Exercise: Exercising on a regular basis with help relieve your cramps.

  5. Step 5

    Pelvic tilt: Get down on all fours, bring elbows to the ground and rock back and forth 10-12 times. Arch back up wards and hold for 10 seconds. Repeat 3 times. This also helps with the pain in the lower back some of us get.

  6. Step 6

    Hot bath: Soak in a nice hot bath. I like to take a bubble bath and read a book to help relax the muscles.

Tips & Warnings
  • If cramps are not relieve by any of these ideas, get worse, or you have never had cramps before and you do now, should consult your doctor.
