Things You'll Need:
- Your imagination
- Rider Waite Deck
- A notebook
-
Step 1
Pull the card out of the deck and look at it. Take a deep breath and meditate on the image. Use your imagination and think about who this person is and what he has to offer you. What do you see? Write the images that catch your eye in your notebook
-
Step 2
The Magician is your spiritual father. He knows your true potential and wants you to live up to it. You are given all the tools you need to achieve in life. You can access them at your whim. Do you know what they are and if so do you know how to use them? The answer lies with the Magician. Look on his table and see the four tools; a chalice, a wand, a pentacle and a sword. They also represent the four season on earth that you will navigate through.
-
Step 3
The chalice represents the water of life, true emotion and love, the power to be fluid and flexible, the season of summer. Your capacity to love is held in this cup.
-
Step 4
The wand represents the wood of life, fire and passion, the power to build, the season of spring. The energy you need and work you do to build your world is in this wand.
-
Step 5
The pentacle represent the earth of life, where you plant your seed and see material wealth grow, the season of fall. The material gains that you earn through work are in this pentacle.
-
Step 6
The sword represent the air, your thoughts and mental fortitude to see yourself through troubles, the season of winter. The will to fight and armour yourself from problems are in this sword.
-
Step 7
Over his head is the symbol of infinity; a Lemniscates. The circle of life goes round and round with never ending energy at our disposal.
His belt is a Uroboros; a snake eating its tale. Again reminding us of the circle of life, what begins will end and what ends will begin again. -
Step 8
This card in interpreted in two ways. First, remember that the magician is man who is a very skilled individual. Pay attention to the cards around the magician because those represent how this person will bring about achievement for the querent. If reading for a male, represents him, if reading for a female represents ideal male partner. Again look at the cards around for more detail about circumstances around that person.
Second, when you see this card in a reading, you know that the querent is at a place in life where they are master of their domain and putting to use all the skill and knowledge they have acquired. Advise them to; know that they have all the tools they need to continue on with what project they are about to undertake, and to understand their own personal power.
