Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 can tuna in oil
  • 1 onion
  • 1 egg
  • ½ cup self rising flour
  • salt and pepper to taste
  1. Step 1

Preheat your deep-fryer to 375 degrees.

  2. Step 2

Drain the oil from your canned tuna into a mixing bowl. Don’t be afraid to use the oil from the canned tuna unless you are worried about a few extra calories. The oil in canned tuna is vegetable oil and when mixed in with the other ingredients gives the tuna fritters a unique consistency after it has been deep-fried.

  3. Step 3

Dice up your onion and combine with the other ingredients.

  4. Step 4

Drop the mixture by the spoonfuls into the deep-fryer. Cook until golden brown. Be sure to place on a plate with a paper towel to soak up any excess oil.
