How to Make Hooks for Crochet Instructions

Things You'll Need

• Wooden dowel, one size above desired size
• Sand paper
• Carving knife
• Wood stain

Instructions

1. Carve any aesthetic designs in your hook before getting to the practical cuts.

2. Carve the tip of the hook into an oval shape.

3. Mark a point on the oval-shaped side of the hook that is 1/4 inch from the end of the hook.

4. Carve a notch into the hook so it extends out from the point marked at a 45-degree angle away from the tip of the hook.

5. Sand the hook to smooth the finish.

6. Stain the hook your desired color.
