Instructions

  1. Cucumber Lemon Blend

    • 1

Peel a fresh lemon and cucumber.

    • 2

Put the lemon and cucumber in a blender. Puree for three minutes or until the fruit becomes a pulp mixture.

    • 3

Pour the fruit pulp into a sieve over a bowl or wide-mouth jar to separate and discard the seeds and larger fruit particles. You will be left with a watery fruit juice mixture to use as shampoo.

    • 4

Wash hair as usual, using as much homemade shampoo as necessary for the length of your hair. Take care to completely rinse the shampoo from your hair, as any remaining fruit particles (particularly lemon bits) will dry in your hair and appear as flakes.

Tips & Warnings

  • You may store the shampoo in an air-tight container and place in the refrigerator for up to five days.

  • If you have very long or curly hair it may be difficult to rinse out all of the lemon particles.
