Pecan Cheese Ball

Pecans are a great addition to the traditional cheese ball. Cayenne pepper really adds some spice to the cheese ball and to the party. Go for it! Here’s how.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 2 packages cream cheese (8 ounces each)
  • 1 package shredded sharp cheddar cheese (about 8 ounces)
  • 1 tbsp chopped red bell peppers
  • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • Dash ground red pepper (cayenne)
  • Dash Salt
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  1. Step 1

Let cream cheese stand at room temperature until softened. This means take the cheese out of the refrigerator at least an hour before you want to start to prepare the cheese ball. If you forget, don’t worry, just put the cream cheese in a microwave safe bowl and microwave for 60 seconds or so, until soft.

Tips & Warnings
  • Left over red bell peppers are great for a morning snack.
  • Left over pecans are great in a salad and just by themselves.
