This cheesecake is easy and delicious. It takes about 15 minutes to prepare and should bake about 45 minutes.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 1/2 cups sour cream
  • 2 - 8 ounce packages of cream cheese (can use light)
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 5 tablespoons melted butter (2T & 3T separated)
  • 1 pound box of graham crackers (can use crescent rolls to cover the bottom of the pan instead)
  • 9 by 13 cake pan or spring form pan
  • either a hand mixer or blender
  1. Step 1

Blend the following ingredients in a blender or mix with a mixer:
    1 1/2 cups sour cream
    2 eggs
    2 teaspoons vanilla
    3/4 cups sugar
2 - 8 ounce packages of cream cheese cut into small chunks (can use light)
    2 tablespoons melted butter

  2. Step 2

Use 2 of the 3 packages of graham crackers from a pound box to make the crust. Break the 2 packages of graham crackers into pieces and put in the blender or crush them finely. Add 3 tablespoons of butter to the crushed graham crackers and pat into the bottom of the pan.

If using crescent rolls instead just open the ready to bake dough and roll them onto the bottom of the pan. Bake as directed below.

  3. Step 3

Pour the cheese mixture over the graham cracker (or crescent roll) crust. Bake at 300 degrees for about 45 minutes. Allow cheese cake to cool slowly then serve.

Tips & Warnings
  • This cheesecake can be made in a spring form pan but the baking time may need to be slightly longer because the cheese cake will be thicker.
  • Crescent rolls can be used to make the crust instead of the graham crackers. Just arrange them on the bottom of the pan and bake as directed above.
  • This cheese cake is addictive and never fails to get requests for the recipe!
