Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

The easiest way to get started on manually creating an iTunes playlist is to click on the plus sign located in the bottom left corner of the iTunes library window. Doing so will create a playlist that is initially named untitled playlist.

  2. Step 2

Give your new iTunes playlist a descriptive name.

  3. Step 3

Your new playlist will be empty, so now it is time to start adding songs to it. Under Library click on Music. Select a song and drag it until your mouse hovers over the name of your playlist. Release the mouse button to drop the song there.

  4. Step 4

If you would like to add several songs at once, then hold the Control button as you select songs from your iTunes Library. Once you have selected all of the songs that you would like to add, then drag and drop them just as you did previously.

  5. Step 5

You can further customize your iTunes playlist by arranging the songs in a particular order. To do this, simply use your mouse to drag them into the order in which you would like them to play.

  6. Step 6

Now just drag and drop your newly created playlist onto your iPod.
