Hi! I'm Jeff Hopeck- I worked inside the White House from 2003-2006. I wrote this article to help you understand several options you have for landing the dream tour of a lifetime- your very own White House Tour!

I've watched tens of thousands of people come and go, getting their very own private look inside the world's most renowned architectural structure.

This article walks you through the steps you can take to get your very own tour of the White House.

Difficulty: Challenging
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Determination
  • Travel means to Washington D.C.
  • Telephone
  1. Step 1

The first option your have is to contact your State Representative and get your name on the list for a White House Tour. This is the most common way to land yourself a rewarding trip to the nation's capitol!

Here's a great website to get started: http://www.house.gov/

  2. Step 2

The second option is to make phone calls to friends/family and find out if anyone knows or is related to a current White House employee, or member of the United States Secret Service. This step can land you the White House Tour pretty quickly!

  3. Step 3

Visit the White House Tours website for information regarding your next trip to Washington. Their website: http://www.whitehouse.gov/about/tours_and_events/

  4. Step 4

Visit the White House Visitor Center website to learn more and possibly even grab a few tickets into the White House: http://www.visitingdc.com/white-house/white-house-visitor-center.htm
