It's that time of year again---school' s back in session. Summer went way too fast, now didn't it? Buy those school supplies now. Buy them cheaply. Buy in bulk. Do not wait until the last minute to buy school supplies. You will be too late.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Class list.
  • Cheap store
  • Money
  1. Step 1

Buying school supplies is matter of being in the right place at the right time! Many stores are jumping the gun by putting out school supplies in June or July. Beat the crowd--- Buy school supplies in the middle of summer. Wal-Mart and Target put school supplies out super early. Backpacks included!

  2. Step 2

Ask for a school supply list at the end of last year. Some teacher's give a list out on the last day of school so you can be prepared. This way, you can buy a few school supplies each week, when you do your regular shopping. When school starts you won't be broke!

  3. Step 3

Shop before Labor Day starts---the mall will be jam packed with bargain seekers. Steer away from the mall---the prices are more expensive there anyways!

  4. Step 4

Buy items in bulk! When you see a great price like crayons for a fraction of the cost, buy a lot of that item. When your child runs out in the middle of the year, loses his crayons, or breaks all of her pencils, you won't have to run out to buy more school supplies that are back to regular super high prices.

  5. Step 5

Watch for the sales of school supplies, office supply stores will have during the year. Buy a lot of the inexpensive items, so your child will be stocked up.

Tips & Warnings
  • Buy fun, colorful pencils and erasers for classroom parties. Everyone is fully stocked for the year this way.
  • Use the same backpack as last year. If it is not a torn up mess, use the same one. Buy one later in the year, when you usually have to buy a new one anyways.
  • Use coupons.
  • Watch the Sunday ads.
  • Don't buy school supplies online unless there is a great deal.
