Convert a Web Page to Pdf File

Found a web page that has a lot of great information and want to save or share it with someone else. Convert it to pdf format and send it in a single file format. I will show you several resources where you can do this from a web browser such as Firefox or Internet Explorer.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Internet access
  1. Step 1

If you use Mozilla Firefox browser then you will need to install what is called an add-on. An add-on will allow your browser to do more things than it was able to do when you installed it. Visit link below that is labeled "Mozilla PDF Download". If you use Internet Explorer, Safari or Google Chrome then follow the appropriate links and follow the installation instructions. This may require a browser restart.

  2. Step 2

Once you have web page that you want to convert to pdf format loaded in your browser, from the "File" menu on the upper left hand corner of your browser screen, select "Save page as Pdf" and click.

  3. Step 3

This will load another page where business of convering the web page to pdf happens.

  4. Step 4

Once the page has been converted a success page will appear.

  5. Step 5

This will be followed shortly by a download link or in my case it will pop up and ask you what you want to do with the file, save or open it. I selected to view it. Most if not all pdf viewers have a button or menu option to save a copy, this is what I did to save my copy of this file.

Tips & Warnings
  • I convert web pages that are lengthy and I would like to read at my own pace, save then for later!
  • Visit the example page to see how nice the converted pdf file looks
