Things You'll Need:
- soccer ball
- cletes
- shin guards
-
Step 1
First, note that you should be using your cleats and shin guards. Though this isn’t strictly necessary, it’s always a good idea to wear them when practicing. As I’m sure many of you soccer player’s know, cleats can make working with the ball easier. Shin guards, on the other hand, make juggling the soccer ball more difficult. They tend to get in the way and are thus prohibitive. However, because we wear them at the most important times: games, it’s a good idea to acclimate yourself to them by wearing them.

Step 2
Start by learning how to juggle on your thighs. (This is the easiest). Not only is it something that will be easier for you to learn, it will help you develop the leg strength necessary for juggling the soccer ball on your feet.
-
Step 3
When juggling the soccer ball, make sure the ball is hitting the area of your thigh just before the knee. If the ball hit’s the knee, it will bounce out of control. If hit’s the part of the thigh closest to the stomach, it won’t get enough “bounce” and you’ll lose control.
