White vinegar has many useful properties for cleaning your home. Get that deep down clean with white vinegar.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Add 1/2 cup of white vinegar to laundry as the water and laundry detergent is filling in the washing machine to get your laudry clean and free of odors. Do not poor white vinegar directly onto clothing or it will make a stain similar to that of Clorox Bleach. Once the water, laundry detergent and vinegar have mixed together enough to be diluted which is about 1/4 to 1/3 of the inside of the washing machine. Then add laundry. White Vinegar added to laundry removes musty, smoky, "funky" smells from laundry and is especially good to remove the odor that comes from wet towels sitting in a laundry basket. If you happen to use cloth diapers follow the above directions, however add a full cup of white vinegar to the load of laundry. Since clothe diapers are already white you will not need to worry about bleaching out any color and it will remove the more intense urine odor.

  2. Step 2

Use White Vinegar to clean the windows in your car, truck, or SUV. A helpful tip I have found is to pour the white vinegar into a spray bottle that can be picked up at a dollar store, discount department store or a home and garden store. The bottles used to spray plants work great. I pour the white vinegar to 3/4 of the bottle and 1/4 warm water to the remainder of the bottle. Using the white vinegar to clean the interior and exterior of your vehicles windows will give them a nice clear easy to see through appearance.

  3. Step 3

Follow Step 2 above to prepare the white vinegar into a bottle. Clean the mirrors and windows in your home. It does work nicely cleaning the glass on pictures, however spray the white vinegar solution to your cleaning cloth rather than directly onto the picture itself. If the vinegar solution is sprayed to heavily onto the picture it could go under the glass and possibly discolor the edges of your picture.

  4. Step 4

Put one cup of white vinegar along with the dish washer detergent into an empty dishwasher and run on the lightest cycle to save money as you clean out the dishwasher. It will remove any "funky" smells.

  5. Step 5

To get your garbage disposal clean and fresh, turn your gargabe disposal add one cup of white vinegar and about 1/3 cup of liquid dish deterget as the garbage disposal is running. Let it run for about 3 minutes. This removes any strange and unpleasant odors.

  6. Step 6

White vinegar diluted with half warm water is an excellent wall paper stripper. Stripping wall paper is a lot of work, however this dilution of white vinegar and warm water does make the process of wall paper removal a bit easier while cleaning your walls from old wallpaper and glue.

  7. Step 7

White vinegar can be used as a to clean much like a bleaching agent for clothing. If you want to make some crazy designs on a pair of jeans or a colored tee shirt. Take areas of the clothing garment and put rubberbands randomly on your clothing garment scooping up pieces of the clothing. Add one cup of white vinegar to your washing machine and wash as usual. Once the wash is completed remove the rubber bands and place in the dryer.
