Tarts are generally reserved for dessert as they are usually filled with sugar, fruit, and sometimes chocolate. This cheese and apple tart, however, combines creamy, sharp Red Leicester cheese with walnuts, apples and dates to make a marvelous entree that transforms a tart into a full meal when served with a mixed greens salad and a glass of crisp, dry white wine.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
