1. There are several different ways to start, your best bet is to check your local newspaper, and see if they have any owner financed houses for sale. If there are any houses available call and see what terms they have, if any of the houses interest you make an appointment to check them out.

2. Another way to find an owner financed house is to check eBay, look under their real estate listing. Sometimes you can find good deals through eBay, so this is worth checking out. Remember, if you choose to use eBay, most of the time what you are bidding for is the down payment, not the full price.

3. Check out craigslist, this site is where I found my owner financed house. I looked every day for a month, and finally something became available in the town I was looking to move to. The price was great and the people I dealt with were really nice. The one thing you need to make sure of, is that the house you want to buy is not a scam. You can go to the local courthouse and get records of who owns the house

4. Lastly, you can also call local real estate offices, many times they will have information on owner financed houses in the area. This can be a really big help in your endeavor.

5. Many times community bulletin boards at your local market, feed store, ect... can give you some good leads on owner financed property in your area.

6. Keep your eyes open when you are driving, many people just put a sign out in the front yard stating that they are selling the house and that it is owner financed.
