Men perspire under their arms much more so than women do. This is not just due to men being more active than women. Here is why men perspire more and how to reduce it.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • An Epilator
  1. Step 1

When any hairy place on the body gets hot perspiration starts. The perspiration moistens the area with the hair and bacteria is attracted to that area. The bacteria causes the area to have an offensive odor.

You must first determine how you want to remove the hair.

  2. Step 2

The way to stop this perspiration is to remove the hair under your arms. The best way to do this is with an epilator. Epilating once a week will remove any hair growth and will significsntly reduce any odor.

  3. Step 3

The hair can be shaved but will grow back quickly and even stubble will cause bacteria to accumulate and create an offensive odor.

Pull out every hair again and again as often as you can to make sure there is no stubble. Move the epilator in different directions as the hair grows in multiple directions.

  4. Step 4

Trimming the hair under your arms will not reduce the odor created by perspiration, but will at least make your underarms look better.

Trimmed hair is still hair which will still hold perspiration and attract bacteria. Make sure to repeatedly epilate every week in all of the directions necessary to remove all of the hair. This will eliminate the attraction of bacteria and any odor.

  5. Step 5

Make sure after you shower that you completely dry your underarms. Then apply antiperspirant/deoderant. Even though you may have epilated the hair away stopping the perspiration will still make you feel better.
