Step 1
First, get an old towel or some newspaper to lay down on a hard flat surface. Preferably outside or in the garage. You will want to be somewhere that has good ventilation.
-
Step 2
Take the shoelaces out of the shoes and lay them off to the side.
-
Step 3
Get a can of leather water proofer and spray the shoes generously with the protectant. This is sold in most shoe stores and it will keep your shoes looking white and bright, and just like new.
-
Step 4
Allow the shoes to air dry for approximately 4 hours after the first coat of the water proofing solvent is applied.
-
Step 5
After the four hours, apply a second coat of water proofing solvent to the shoes and allow them to completely dry once again, at least another 4 hours.
-
Step 6
Now you can put the shoelaces back in your shoes and they are ready to be worn. Believe it or not, using a water proofer on your white leather shoes will provide a barrier to dirt and stains. It will keep your shoes like new for a very long time.
