Getting fired is a horrible experience for anyone. It can leave you feeling a little helpless and very stressed out. Getting fired doesn't mean you can't find another job though. With a few techniques after you've been fired you can find a new job quickly and easily.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

When you are filling out your new job application under the section in the employment history where it says why you left your previous job simply put that you would like to discuss during the interview. That way you don't have to directly put you were fired and it will give you the chance to explain.

  2. Step 2

During the interview when discussing why you fired always be truthful. Now is your chance to tell your side of the story. Do not lie about why you were fired though. Always tell the truth. Telling a lie could keep you from getting the job.

  3. Step 3

When discussing why you've been fired don't go on and on about how your previous employer was too hard on you or what was wrong with them. If you were fired for a reason take responsibility for why you were fired.

  4. Step 4

Don't spend too much time though on the subject of why you were fired. You want to explain and be honest but you don't want to dwell on the subject for the next thirty minutes or so. You want to let them know about the situation but also let them know why you are perfect for the job you are applying for.

  5. Step 5

If you can get a reference from the previous place of employment be sure to do it. Try to get someone that can defend your side of the story.
