How to Clean a Touch Screen

A touch screen is a display that allows you to interact directly with what is displayed on the screen via touch by fingertip or stylus. The natural buildup of dust and oils from fingertip contact with the screen can decrease responsiveness and leave unsightly smudges. • Soft lint-free cloth
• Distilled water or non-ammonia based glass or screen cleaner

Instructions

1. Power off the computer or touch-screen device.

2. Use distilled water or non-ammonia-based glass cleaner to dampen a soft, lint-free cloth. Do not use a paper towel or bath towel, which can scratches a touch screen. Do not apply liquid directly to the touch screen--always apply it to the cloth. Make sure the cloth is damp but not wet.

3. Wipe the touch screen gently with the damp cloth to remove dust and oils.

4. Use a dry lint-free cloth to remove excess moisture from the screen if necessary. It is now safe to power on the device.
