Instructions

  1. Outside

    • 1

Lay painter's plastic over shrubbery, plants and dirt around the brick wall. This will protect the foliage from excess water and cleaner.

    • 2

Attach a hose-end spray cleaner to the hose, such as Mold Armor House Wash Sprayer.

    • 3

Douse the brick wall with the cleaning solution. Spray all corners. Use a sweeping motion to wash the wall.

    • 4

Clean the brick wall with the long-handled sponge squeegee. With the soap residue on the wall, scrub with the sponge. Use a circular motion to wash the entire wall, including crevices and indentations in the brick.

    • 5

Remove the hose-end sprayer. Attach the nozzle. Turn the nozzle to a strong stream and eliminate the remaining soap residue.

    • 6

Let the brick wall dry for about three hours. Remove the painter's plastic carefully. Pull from the back near the wall. Drain any remaining soap or water away from your shrubbery.

    Inside

    • 7

Fill a bucket half full with water. Pour approximately 4 or 5 cups of the cleaning solution in the bucket. Mix well. Use Mrs. Meyers Clean Day All Purpose Cleaner, or an alternative all-purpose cleaning product.

    • 8

Dunk a steel wool pad in the bucket. Scrub the brick wall thoroughly. Use a circular motion, starting from a corner. Work you way around the wall to clean completely.

    • 9

Dip the sponge squeegee in the cleaning solution. Remove the remaining filth and grunge from the wall. Scour in rows, starting from the top.

    • 10

Dry the brick wall with a hand towel. Air-drying is also an option; however, for excess dampness, towel dry.
